A Declaration for the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is changing how we work, communicate, decide and organise society.
Capability is accelerating.
Human responsibility is not.
This creates a new leadership challenge.
Not how to build more intelligent machines.
But how to remain consciously human while using them.

What We Believe

Human authority must remain human.
Processing can be automated. Consequential judgment cannot be abdicated.
Responsibility cannot be delegated.
Consequence ownership cannot be transferred to a machine.
Machines can support execution.
They cannot carry accountability.

The Question

Before adopting any system, recommendation or AI-generated output, we ask:

Because the answer usually reveals who should remain responsible for the decision.

The Boundary

Capability may be delegated.
Authority may not.
Machines may assist.
Humans remain accountable.
Velocity must not replace judgment.
Efficiency must not replace meaning.

Where Life Is Held

Technology should strengthen human life, not replace it.
The purpose of intelligence is not endless acceleration.
The purpose of intelligence is wiser stewardship.
Family. Relationships. Health. Community. Trust.
These remain human domains.

An Open Invitation

This declaration is offered to founders, boards, executives, educators, families, policy makers, and anyone navigating the relationship between human authority and artificial intelligence.
You do not need to agree with every word.
The invitation is simpler:
Pause. Ask better questions. Remain present. Hold the wheel.

The Principles Are Open

The ideas at the heart of this work are offered freely. Not because they are simple. Because they are vital. Artificial intelligence is becoming part of consequential decisions in organisations, businesses, families and individual lives. As machine capability accelerates, one question becomes increasingly important:

The emerging field of Algorithmic Stewardship is an open global conversation. 70/30 DNA™ is offered as a structural contribution to that field.

What Is the 70/30 Principle?

The 70/30 principle expresses a human-first governance boundary:

  • 70% Human Wisdom: Judgment. Discernment. Meaning. Values. Responsibility. Consequence ownership.
  • 30% AI Support: Research. Drafting. Analysis. Organisation. Processing. Execution support.
  • 100% Human Authority.

The percentages are not a mathematical allocation for every task. They express a relationship between human command and machine assistance. Machines may support execution. Human beings must retain intent, judgment, approval, responsibility and consequence.

What Is Algorithmic Stewardship?

Algorithmic Stewardship is the human responsibility to govern intelligent and autonomous systems with judgment, accountability, restraint and consequence. It asks:

  • Who defines the purpose?
  • Who sets the boundaries?
  • Who reviews the outcome?
  • Who can interrupt or override the system?
  • Who owns the consequence?

Algorithmic Stewardship is an existing, open field of shared human responsibility. Vicki Wu did not create the name of this category, but actively contributes to it through deep governance architecture. It is not presented as the exclusive property of one person, company or institution.

What Is Open for Public Use?

People and organisations may:

  • discuss the underlying 70/30 principle;
  • reflect on how it applies in their lives and organisations;
  • contribute independently to Algorithmic Stewardship;
  • develop their own original commentary and applications;
  • ask how human authority can remain active alongside artificial intelligence.

The principles are open for responsible participation.

What Is 70/30 DNA™?

70/30 DNA™ is Vicki Wu’s named and documented human-first formulation of the underlying 70/30 principle. The name identifies a specific body of original work, definitions, programme materials and governance development associated with Vicki Wu. The open underlying principle may travel freely. Authorship of the named formulation remains attributed.

What Is Systemic Fiduciary Architecture™?

Systemic Fiduciary Architecture™ is Vicki Wu’s distinct human-first governance architecture for applying judgment, responsibility, authority and consequence in AI-supported environments. It provides deeper architecture for consequential organisational, personal and intergenerational settings. Systemic Fiduciary Architecture™ is distinct from the open category of Algorithmic Stewardship.

What Remains Distinct Authored Material?

Original assets may include: programme and assessment names; original questions; scoring and result structures; written interpretations; diagrams; facilitator resources; implementation processes; client deliverables; training materials; books, newsletters and website content. Open use of a principle does not remove authorship from its original programme expression.

What Does Open Use Not Mean?

Public discussion or independent application does not imply: endorsement; certification; partnership; authorised facilitation; permission to reproduce original programme materials; permission to represent another person’s work as one’s own; or formal alignment with Systemic Fiduciary Architecture™.

Any formal claim of SFA™ alignment, verification, authorisation or certification must follow the documented methodology and be expressly approved.

May People Teach the 70/30 Principle?

Yes. People may discuss and teach the open underlying principle using independently created language and materials. Open use does not include permission to copy, adapt, white-label, sell or redistribute original 70/30 DNA™ programme materials without authorisation.

Why Make the Principles Open?

The purpose is not to create dependency on a framework. The purpose is to strengthen human judgment. A principle intended to preserve human responsibility must be capable of travelling beyond one person or organisation.

At the same time, openness must not erase authorship, programme integrity or accountability.

The distinction is simple:
The principle is open.

The category is open.

The formulation is attributed.

The Responsibility Remains Human

No declaration, framework, assessment or technology can carry human consequence. The principles may be shared widely. Their application remains a human responsibility.

Declaration notice

This declaration records Vicki Wu’s authorship position and intended public-use boundaries as at 24 September 2026. It does not claim exclusive ownership of the open category of Algorithmic Stewardship. It does not grant permission to reproduce original programme materials, imply endorsement, or establish formal SFA™ alignment.
